Product Information
Hesco Bastion Barrier, also known as a fortress, is a modern metal mesh or flood wall composed of a collapsible mesh container and a heavier geotextile fabric used as a temporary fortress for blocking or small-scale attacks. It is composed of an external welded gabion mesh and an internal fabric liner.
Unlike traditional gabions, Hesco Bastion Barrier can hold not only rocks but even finer sediment, and the filling material is locally sourced, making it particularly suitable for use in downstream rivers or coastal areas where rocks are lacking. It was originally used to control flooding and erosion on beaches and marshes. More recently, it has often been used for military purposes. With the help of advanced tools such as excavators and shovels, it can be installed dozens or even hundreds of times more efficiently than traditional sandbags. Its fast installation and robust construction ensure temporary or semi-permanent dikes or barriers against explosions or small arms.
